Jason Lillmars is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He holds several professional credentials, including being a licensed CPA and a Personal Financial Specialist through the AICPA. He obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration and Masters in the Science of Accounting from Grand Valley State University. Prior to his current role as owner of the firm, he gained several years of relevant work experience, including a role as Corporate Financial Controller for a large company within the construction subcontractor supply industry, several years working as both a CPA and financial advisor and also owning various businesses throughout the West Michigan area. His background allows him to develop comprehensive tax-smart strategies that are of significant value in helping individuals and businesses reach their financial goals.
Hannah has been a valued member of our team for several years and works primarily out of our Grand Haven office location. She has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Baker College. Her education and considerable practical experience in accounting and tax matters allow her to help our business clients achieve their financial and tax goals. Hannah also works to oversee the work and development of others within the accounting and tax team. She has both a bachelor's and master's degree in Accounting from Baker College.
Melissa brings several years of experience as an Administrative Manager, along with a Bachelor’s degree, in addition to a strong foundation working within tax and accounting firms. Her extensive background enables her to support both our clients and internal team effectively, ensuring smooth, day-to-day operations in the areas of accounting and tax.
Known for her commitment to high-quality service and exceptional attention to detail, Melissa is an invaluable member of our team. She works primarily out of our Wyoming office. She consistently goes above and beyond with a warm, client-focused approach, assisting with a wide range of responsibilities including payroll, human resources, accounts receivable, and various administrative tasks.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family—her son, daughter, and two beloved boxer pups. She loves to travel, relax on her deck during the summer, and unwind with a great book.
Denise brings over 25 years of professional payroll experience to our team. She has proven experience in managing complex payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining our firm, she gained experience working within CPA firms and for large private employers.
Nathan graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2021. Prior to joining our firm, Nathan gained experience in both private and public accounting. He works with our clients in the areas of accounting & tax. He has considerable experience working with QuickBooks Online.
Jennifer is a key member of our administration team and loves helping clients with questions when they call or stop by our Grand Rapids office location. She also handles a lot of our client interaction on our secure online client portal.
A graduate of Grand Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, gained experience in public accounting at a CPA firm in southwest Michigan, working with clients in the areas of bookkeeping & tax. Connor has considerable experience working with QuickBooks Online.
Kyle is a CPA candidate and accounting graduate from Grand Valley State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He brings with him experience in tax preparation, financial controls, and business operations. He has hands‑on experience in individual tax preparation, having worked multiple tax seasons at a West Michigan firm where he learned the details about preparing and organizing tax returns, performing detailed data checks, and managing client documentation. He takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping processes running smoothly during the busiest times of the year.
Kyle has also spent over seven years in a management role at a West Michigan convenience chain, gaining hands‑on experience with business development, client relations, payroll systems, and employee supervision.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and cat. One of his favorite things to do is use his telescope to stargaze.
